Our name doJi comes from a fun backstory. Our brand was in fact going to be called Jett Shades, after my son Jett. However, the word Jett was trademarked already and we had to shift. My 12 year old daughter blurted out in pure frustration, lets just "do Jett inc." I did, do - J - i (doh-jee).

Our Dayshift, BFD, and Utopia lines are known for their iconic XL frames, and oversized style.

Creating a legacy

This is not your traditional "I kept losing my shades at the beach story."

In November 2023, our son Jett D. was born—a miracle baby with a rare condition called Congenital Nystagmus. His eyes lack pigment, making light almost unbearable. We needed sunglasses built for real protection, real performance—and found a calling instead.

doJi was born from that moment. What began as a solution for our son became a creative legacy for our entire family. Our kids help name the shades, sketch the designs, and shape the vision.

This isn’t just about eyewear—it’s about legacy, purpose, and taking those fine moments of humility and turning them into opportunities.
